Introduction
According to the European Agreement on work-related stress of 8 October 2004, also referred to in the Leg. Decree No. 81/2008 and subsequent modifications and integrations issued by the Permanent Consultative Commission on Occupational Health and Safety, the authors have developed a web platform aimed at assessing and managing the risk of work-related stress.

Methods
The development of the web platform is the result of a long-lasting research process leading to the outline of an integrated methodological path aimed at assessing and managing risks associated with work-related stress through the Italian validation of the HSE Management Standards approach and the integration of the Checklist for the assessment of objective indicators. The method adopted included: the manual translation and adaptation to current regulatory frameworks; the translation and administration of the questionnaire; statistical data analysis on a sample of 6.300 workers belonging to different sectors of Italian organisations; drawing up of a guide on how to manage a focus group.

Results
The final result is a free and easy-to-use web platform that provides all instruments for assessing work-related stress risks including a Checklist for objective evaluation, an Indicator Tool for individual evaluation and a focus group manual. For data elaboration, an online software designed to produce a final report on the organisational status to be included in risk assessment documentation has been implemented. Only two months after online publication of the platform, the number of organisations registered was approximately 2.000 and over 20.000 copies of the guide had been downloaded.

Discussion
In order to address work-related stress, the web platform developed by the Technical, Scientific and Research sectors of INAIL has the advantage of providing an integrated methodological path which is a free, easy-to-use instrument designed for all public and private Italian organisations, in accordance with current regulatory frameworks and in pursuit of methodological rigour.
