The exposure to chemical substances as a source of environmental carcinogenic can produce work instability, and the same time could affect to man that woman and besides produce new sufferings translated, in some cases, disability for the work. Our purpose was to determine the magnitude of work disability for breast cancer, its relation with the occupation at different industrial sectors and health determinant that could have on bearing it.
Methods
A study was realized in total of Commissions of Work Medical Survey of Havana City (CPML) to 285 workers who were dictaminated for cancer came from of industrial sectors and services. Individual interviewers were realized and visits to their work centres for taking all the general information, life style, work environmental, family history illness, health service and so on
Results
The 67% of the population simple was to female and between them with breast cancer the 45,5%, 49% of them used transpiring deodorants, smoking was significant, the 72% smoke more than one box of cigarette daily, 57.5% with family history of cancer illness, 50% were exposure in their work history no minor to one carcinogenic and did not observe with breast self examination the 60%, in special who had medium cultural level.
Discussion
The results of this investigation let to do interventions with emphasis on the health determinants such as hygiene education, working conditions for improving the work environmental, personal practice of health, health services, gene, among others for achieving a primary prevention and detection early using for this the net of social support into the community for the best health promotion so we could reduce the morbid-mortality for these causes.
