Introduction
Prehospital conducted by teams of Customer Service Mobile Emergency (SAMU) fits into the category of urgency / emergency, configured as a service that causes both physical and emotional wear and in this sense; the Burnout Syndrome has been documented as present in these professions. OBJECTIVE: To identify the presence of burnout syndrome in nurses of the Department of Mobile Emergency Care - SAMU - Teresina.

Methods
This study is a quantitative, descriptive approach, which is being developed with the nursing staff of SAMU-Teresina. Participants are Nurses and Assistants / Technicians Nursing. SAMU Teresina has a population of 78 nurses, 17 nurses and 61 aides / nursing technicians. For data collection is being used a socio-demographic questionnaire and assessment of burnout, the Maslach Burnout Inventary instrument (MBI).

Results
The survey is in progress and shows that we believe is of great importance for their specificity in relation to the health of workers and because we want the result of this work, beyond academic boundaries and become an effective contribution, serving as subsidy so that effective strategies can be developed to improve the health of workers SAMU - Teresina, increasing also the quality of service both individual and coletivo.

Discussion
Work in this direction has been of great importance to the reality of Brazilian public health, especially because the product is to ensure a quality service for the population humanized respecting the overall health of the worker who provides assistance.
