The hospital work environment is considered unhealthy by grouping patients with different diseases and where to place procedures that offer risks of accidents for health professionals. Few workplaces are as complex and in need of effective adherence to biosecurity measures such as emergency services and emergency. Aimed to carry out a literature review of scientific literature in nursing on the accession of biosecurity measures by health professionals in the context of emergency care.

Methods
We analyzed a total of 17 articles from the years 2006 to 2010, using the databases BDENF.Os and SciELO articles were categorized as the year of publication, the authors' professional titles, setting and research subjects, state of authors and methodology discussed.

Results
t became evident that the existence of three thematic categories: historical approach to
biosafety, occupational accidents in urgent and emergency care and adherence to biosecurity measures by health professionals. The indicators analyzed showed the vulnerability of nursing professional’s biological risks, the spread of hepatitis B and HIV. The category of nursing assistants was the most discussed in the polls, especially when it comes to accidents with sharp drill. It was felt that the risk of occupational accidents depends not only on the type of activity, but also the nature of the material handled, and especially the means of protecting employees, pointing to the need to document all actions and data related to health worker.
