Even though procedures are sometimes set up in large companies, large variations of practices exist in occupational health services.   Fifteen standardized procedures based on symptoms of major life-threatening emergencies were then developed by a group of occupational and emergency physicians (from prehospital care unit). The protocols included all symptoms which required special care to avoid a potential life-threatening condition, like chest pain, coma, dyspnea, abdominal pain, severe trauma, and anaphylaxis. The structure of the procedure will be presented in this session.
