Introduction:  Discussion of the approach of one corporation of 60,000 employees worldwide to implement a health enhancement program.  Based on current research from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, further insight will be given into the need to develop the integration of safety and wellness within the occupational setting when establishing a culture of health within a company.

Methods:  Literature review of successful programs, management engagement, inclusion of insights from company sites in 20 countries, survey results, communication vehicles, potential success measurements will be discussed.

Conclusion: Engaging various stakeholders, from human resources, health enhancement, safety and occupational health professionals can make the launch of a multi-country health and wellness program a successful endeavor for many corporations.  By developing an overarching strategy focused on health and wellness, and integrating the programs which are often offered under siloed departments, companies can begin to change their culture to support a positive return on the health and productivity of their workforce.
