This study examines the process of adoption of innovations in the employment context and its relationship to psychological well-being of teachers. By studying the relationship that holds the adoption of an innovation with the social and psychological worker, who eventually develop burnout syndrome in response to prolonged stress; or showing a critical participation that helps to better insight and adopting those aspects they like, and modify or eliminate those who are annoying so that there is a high commitment and passion for the work called work engagement. The objective was to determine the relationship between various forms of adoption of innovation in the employment context with burnout and work engagement university professor of Zacatecas
Methods
An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was made, in a probability and representing sample of 156 teachers. For information on a questionnaire with demographic, labor variables, the instrument Forms Organizational Adoption of Innovation, the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Utrech Work Engagement Scale
Results
The result show a greater participation of women with 62.8%, of all teachers interviewed 64.1% were married, 60.3% have graduate and 70.5% are full time. In respect of forms organizational adoption of innovation, 58.3% were identified as innovator. In relation to the prevalence of burnout syndrome was found 47.4% with emotional exhaustion. Concerning presence of the work engagement, it was high levels in 99% of teachers. We found a significant association between female sex, age (those under 45 years), and degree of doctor with emotional exhaustion
Discussion
we can say that to extent that they continue studying the burnout syndrome on its etiology, determinants, consequences or adjacent processes, such is the case of the process that exist about forms of organizational innovation adoption will be new lines redirect future research studies.
