  • In only three years the indicators on accidents decreased 30% in mortality and 27% in common accidents. The objective of this lecture is to explain what were the coordinated actions in order to achieve these goals.

    Methodology: To explain the coordinated actions that were carried out in order to strengthen the system and its supervision, as well as to improve the preventive culture through preventive campaigns and training of different actors, such as workers, entrepreneurs and technicians related to the sector.    

    Conclusions: The conclusions are summarized in a Strategic Plan influenced by European and Spanish strategies on health and safety issues, as well as ILO guidelines, which ended in the development of an Argentinean Strategy of Hygiene and Safety, which was approved by the entrepreneur sector, through its unions.
