  • Introduction
The automotive industry in Mexico is considered an important economic support with high benefits like: generation of large-scale jobs, job training, supplier’s development and technological modernization. The basis of this industry is the service workshop which justifies the developing of a diagnosis that allows us to know the working processes on them and also permits to identify the risk conditions of the workers in an automotive service shop.

    Methods
For the diagnosis the ‘Verification, diagnosis and surveillance of enterprises occupational Health Model’ was used in the Company. The model measures the level of efficiency in which the company is applying the legal Mexican normatively and regulations in Occupational Health; quantifying their level of effectiveness in different aspects of the company administrative organization.

    Results
The reconstruction of the work process allowed identifying a number of risks and exigencies in working demands, among which are: mechanical, physical, chemical and ergonomic requirements. Verification of the 10 chapters evaluated shows 44.2% of level effectiveness which in this method is considered as bad.
The chapter on workers' health was the lowest (9.8% efficiency). Induction and training only reached 23.8% and the Intervention management level chapter had only a 16.7%.

    Discussion
The diagnosis revealed shortcomings that affect health care for workers, since they are not seen as an essential part of the company that worth to preventing risks, accidents and occupational diseases. Neither is worthy the induction nor training, as well as the enforcement of the existing regulations on Hygiene, Health and Safety. Finally, there is a lack of commitment from senior levels to intervene in the problems detected.
