Introduction
This study aims to describe the profile of occupational accidents in Kenitra city in northwestern Morocco.

Methods
The study covers all accidents that occurred in the workplace in 2008, by activity sector. The results do not include occupational diseases or journey accidents.

Results
In 2008, 572 accidents were reported; 455 have resulted in temporary disability, 92 a permanent disability and 25 have been fatal. The most exposed sectors are wood, furniture, paper, cardboard, textile and clothing industries (32,2%), building and public works sector (24,5%), services sector (banking, insurance, government) (12,2%) and chemical, rubber and plastic industries (8,4%). According to the data recorded, over 94% of reported accidents have involved male workers. Accidents are caused by machinery and falling materials, followed by falls from height.

Discussion
The improvement of working conditions will not only reduce the number of accidents at work, but it will also have a positive influence on economic performance.
