MACROERGONOMICS SUPPORTING LEAN MANUFACTURING”

Implement Lean Manufacturing in industrialized countries, has been a long time almost a utopia, especially in those countries where the culture of teamwork does not harmonize with the common culture of "myself first and then myself again".                                  

Various authors mentioned among other tools of Lean Manufacturing: the Preventive Maintenance, the 5 S's, the Total Quality and the Work Cells, the Teamwork, the process Just in Time and also the SMED process (quick changes), etc.   Various schemes proposed in the lean manufacturing but with a partial application, without insight into the interaction of tools, making it appear to Lean manufacturing in many companies as a chimera, by neglect the most important subsystem of socio technological system: the worker.  Special approach to workers and closer contact with site manager can produce successful results in general important measures of the facilities that receive this intervention.
