The components of a corporate culture might help or interfere with the successful implementation of a functional Ergonomic program and its evolution to a Macro Ergonomics program that will result on the ultimate goal of a productive system: Productivity. To identify the level of culture and management real involvement are essential part to a successful Ergonomics program, and to know the basic needs of a work environment will help to establish the rhythm on the evolution from a Micro Ergonomics program to a full Macro Ergonomic program that will involve a real multifunctional team to lead ergonomics at every level. The benefits of the evolution for an ergonomics program will impact and can be measured in the business productivity milestones like: quality, absenteeism, employees loyalty, scrap, injury, illnesses, re-work, R.O.I., etc; and also will impact the employee physical, psychological and social well being; creating an optimal interaction between the human-work environment systems.
