This intervention, conducted in 2010, shows the application of standards in order picking in warehouse logistics of retail self-service. The activity analysis was conducted with six operators (four men and two women) in the areas of groceries, beverages, alcohol, and general products.     The results show a wide variation in the tonnage handled penalizing operators grocery sector which preparation circuits are longer but "lighter".     The possible solutions considered since the intervention was implemented by step, they continue in 2011. They have to consider a different organization of the preparation which has to regulate the tonnage handled by operators closer to the recommendations of the standard.     In conclusion, the application of the standard has improved working conditions for all operators. The tonnage handled are closer to the standard requirements without disrupting productivity.
