Introduction: Why suggesting a new scientific committee to ICOH about Emergency in occupational setting

Life-threatening emergencies could occur in workplace as well as other public location. Many large companies have developed emergency care with occupational health services (physicians / nurses) in close cooperation with traditional EMS.  The aim of the special session is to present what has been done and might be done in research, training, as well as practice, and to discuss with the participants who are interested in the subject whether it could be valuable to create a new ICOH scientific committee around this emerging transversal topic.
