A2160 Morbidity with temporal disability in women occupational exposure to organic solvents

Introduction
The participation of the women in the worker market, in general, have been risen worldwide: The women in Cuba represent more than 40 % active workforce, that are present in different productive process where they use chemical substance that the woman or the man are exposure to the same substance. The industrial solvents are like risk factor into shoos factory in everywhere on their technologic process, they have significant association with disease generation, for that the occupational exposure to them could cause at short or large time disability and in some cases this could reach the death. Our objective is describe the morbidity with temporal disability in women exposure to organic solvents.

Methods
An hygienic sanitary study was realized to shoos factory of layette and was chosen all the women population exposure to organic solvents, was applied an individual interview, diagnosis tests and looked through medical certifies that they had been presented for evaluating the morbidity and the temporal disability presented for them. As indicators of morbidity have been used the frequency, lost days and gravity indexes.

Results
The Benzene, Toluene and Xilene concentrations in the air of work zone were more lower than the international TWA at all work places. The bigger female population was into the age group of 35-45 years old. Some diagnosis tests were valuated and was found significant alterations on electrocardiogram presenting arrhythmias, branch block and polarization disorders. They presented symptoms during prior and post exposure on the Nervous System, genitourinary and cardiovascular system. The lost day index was 5136.8.

Discussion
The results obtained indicate that there are health problem in these workers, even we can not associate them with the occupation, we have to establish surveillance actions for prevention and promotion.
