Introduction
The non–profit organization Prevent is Scandinavia’s leading provider of knowledge and training in the field of occupational health and safety. The organization is working to promote healthy, sound and safe workplaces. One way to mediate knowledge about better work was to create a digital hub, which contained different information adapted to different target groups, from beginners to experts in OSH.
In 2008 Prevent decided on an IT strategy and a communication strategy, which were a necessity for implementing the digital hub.

Methods
Prevent did a pilot study during 2008 to implement the IT strategy. The pilot study was supplemented by a web survey and a survey to analyze what employees think about health and safety issues and their motivations to get more knowledge. The results from the surveys together with results from internal workshops were the foundation for the creation of Prevent’s digital hub.

Results
In January 2010 three new websites were launched. Each with a different target group.
www.prevent.se a website addressed to those who work with OSH. It contains information, web shop, products and files for free downloading.
www.prevent.se/arbetsliv, a newspaper on the web. A website for those who want to follow research in OSH.
www.prevent.se/arbetsmiljoupplysningen, a website addressed to beginners in OSH.
www.prevent.se has more visitors than before. More documents have been downloaded. The site got better results in a new web survey among the visitors. One part of prevent.se; www.prevent.se/arbetsmiljoupplysningen won a prize for best improver among several websites.

Discussion
The IT-strategy and the communication strategy makeup the foundation on which the web development rests. www.prevent.se is the hub when it comes to communicating and developing new content, websites and products. By creating this common hub, we have tried to make it easier for employees at Swedish workplaces to create a better work environment.
