A2164 Behaviour Based Processes and Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems: relations and synergy

Introduction
Behavior-based safety processes (BBSP) have more and more followers in the enterprise world; the main reason is the continued success proven by those well implemented and managed processes. which are the demonstrated necessary Good Practices for implementing and managing these processes?, how these processes can be integrated to the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) for a synergetic contribution to the whole system?. This paper has the intention of clarifying these previous points.

Methods
The results described in the presentation are based on the practical experience of the author implementing or improving many of these processes, as well as on the personal exchanges with other experts. Each aspect have been contrasted with the current literature.

Results
The Good Practices of the BBSP and the relevant integration points with OHSMS will be presented

Discussion
BBSP can be implemented as part of OHSMS and its potential for integrating can be recognized for preventing accidents in organizations.
