Introduction
A statistical analysis on the experienced pain and discomfort of staff was conducted in three types of food stores in predominantly self-service using two questionnaires: the Nordic questionnaire to assess the differences between store types and the questionnaire of discomfort to evaluate the differences between the trades.

Methods

They are divided into 11 different trades. The Nordic questionnaire to locate the seat of pain and discomfort to evaluate their intensity during a workday.

Results
The population is female (69.5%). 36% are under 30 years, 31% are between 30-39 years, 24% are between 40-49 years and 9% are over 50 years. The Nordic questionnaire showed no significant differences between brands for low back pain (70%). For other body regions, the differences are significant. The comparison of business with the discomfort questionnaire shows increased pain in the evening for all with a predominance for cashiers and employees self-service fresh produce. Employees complain less versatile.

Discussion
The complaints of the lower back are signs and independent labor organizations. Versatility larger in smaller stores are they a "protection" against the physical suffering at work? These professional activities generate physical constraints, which are expressed, depending on the business, by pain or discomfort that can generate pathologies. Taking into account these constraints in the choice of technical aids and tools adapted, finding a work organization that promotes flexibility and continuous training of employees and iterative and supervision are areas for improvement confirmed by this investigation.
